This month starts with an interesting programme in Belgrade, where Alessandro Crudele will conduct the Radio Television Symphony Orchestra for the first time on 17 March 2018.
The evening opens with the world premiere of “The Faces of Persephone”, a new work by young, talented, Serbian composer Misha Cvijovic. This is followed by Hummel’s Bassoon Concerto, for which Crudele and the orchestra are joined by bassoonist Relja Kalapis. The second half features Mendelssohn Symphony No.5 “Reformation”, which is a key work in Crudele’s repertoire.
The following week, Crudele travels to China, returning to conduct the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra after their collaboration last season. The concert takes place at the magnificent Qintai Concert Hall on 23 March and the programme includes Mozart Symphonies No.35 “Haffner” and No.41 “Jupiter”.
Alessandro Crudele has a growing profile in China. He has conducted regularly there over the last seasons and he will conduct the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra for the first time next December.
